Our Founder and President

Linda D. Smith is the first in her immediate family to graduate from college. Ms. Smith truly understands the barriers faced by a first-generation college student and has committed her life to coaching students and their families through the post secondary process. She has earned Associates and Bachelor’s degrees in Human Services and a Masters Degree in Adult Continuing/Literacy Education. Ms. Smith is currently a College Reading Professor and has served as the College and Career Liaison for the Rockford Public School District, a Workforce Development Professional, Parent Engagement Specialist with various social service agencies and school districts and spent more than seven years working with the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
